Dental Hygienist, Senior Office Manager
Marisa joined our office in 1968, and in almost 45 years, she has worn many hats in our office. She began working as a dental assistant, then as an office manager, and now as a dental hygienist. She is currently our senior team leader and makes sure that our office runs efficiently. During her many years in our office, Marisa has really gotten to know all the families in our practice. She looks forward to welcoming you into our family as well.
Dental Office Manger
Maria makes all of our patients feel welcome in our office and also serves as a treatment coordinator, insurance processor, and translator. She joined our team in 1995 and has loved getting to know our patients and their families over the years. Maria truly enjoys seeing the difference ideal dental health can make in the lives of our patients. Maria is married and the proud mother of two daughters. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking, and throwing parties in the summer.
Dental Assistant, X-ray Tech
Maritza loves working with people, and as one of our dental assistants, she gets to be around our patients all day long. She can be found all over the office, whether she is assisting during treatment, explaining treatment options, answering the phones, or making financial arrangements. Maritza enjoys helping patients understand all aspects of their procedures, especially to our Spanish and Portuguese speaking patients. Outside the office, Maritza spends time with her dogs and works very closely with dog rescue organizations and the Newark Animal Shelter.
Melissa considers Down Neck Family Dentistry to be her home away from home and has since she started in 2003. She knows first-hand the quality of care our office provides - she was a patient here herself! Now as an assistant, Melissa works with our doctors at chairside, answers the phones, files, organizes, and translates treatment details. Melissa is very friendly and is known for always smiling. She is a family-oriented girl and at home, she has two dogs and a fish aquarium she loves to take care of and enjoys doing arts and craft projects.
In addition to assisting our doctors’ at chairside, Victoria also translates for our non-English speaking patients. She loves getting to know our patients during their dental appointments and making their experiences positive ones. Victoria is currently a junior in high school and is very involved in musical theater and her school’s newspaper.
